Hello, I'm Jacqueline Rayner, Author and Illustrator, it's nice to meet you!
I've recently published my first two books with Clarion Books at HarperCollins.
Hats Are Not For Cats! Was first published in 2019. It has been both an Editor's pick and Best Seller on Amazon and is now available in both hard back and board book format. Hats Are Not For Cats! has also received a Kirkus starred review, and also made the Banks Street list for Best Board Books of 2023.
Lost Cat! Was published in 2023 and also received a Kirkus starred review. It was also awarded a Highly Commended in the Macmillan Prize for Illustration.
I'm a recent a graduate of the MA in Children's Book Illustration at the Cambridge School of Art, UK. Previous to this I completed a BA in Fine Art and have worked for many years as a Graphic Designer.
I absolutely love writing all kinds of stories and developing artwork to bring them to life. I currently have many new projects underway. Please feel free to get in touch!
